December 25, 2o17 – The RevolutionistsListen in to our newest segment of World of the Play, the discussions based upon themes raised by productions at Baltimore’s Everyman Theater. This episode is titled “Heroines In Our Midst,” and is inspired by the play The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson. While the play is a fictionalized account of prominent women of the French Revolution, its themes are quite timely — as women across America and the world are speaking up, saying enough is enough with sexual harassment and assault.
Our panelists for this insightful and thought-provoking conversation were: Brittany Oliver, founder of Hollaback Baltimore and Not Without Black Women; Maura Callahan, Deputy Editor and Arts Editor for the Baltimore Beat; and filmmaker Daniele Anastasion.
