May 14, 2013 – Segment 1
We start the show with a discussion of evil in the wake of the Cleveland kidnapping case. What makes seemingly normal people commit the most heinous acts? Are people committing evil acts sociopaths, or is this another instance of the banality of evil? Is evil even the right word to describe this?
Joining us to wrestle with these questions are:
- Dr. Joshua Miller, lecturer in the Department of Philosophy & Religious Studies at Morgan State University;
- E.R. Shipp, Associate Professor and Journalist-in-Residence in the Department of Communication Studies at Morgan State University;
- Dr. Joe Pettit, Advisor and Associate Professor of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Morgan State University;
- and Rev. Dr. Bernard Keels, Director of the Morgan University Chapel.
