We discuss the Milwaukee police shooting of 23-year-old Sylville Smith, a Black man the police say was armed, on Saturday. We discuss that shooting and the subsequent protests with: Dr. Stephen Hall, Program Coordinator of History at Alcorn State University; Dr. Amrita Meyers, Associate Professor of History at Indiana University; and Dr. Treva Lindsey, Assistant Professor in the Department of Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies at Ohio State University.
Our guest host is Dr. “Kaye” Wise Whitehead.
