November 4, 2013 – Segment 3We turn to the topic of LGBT students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s), in light of last week’s news that Morgan State University (MSU) student Brian Stewart, a former White House intern, came forward claiming that the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity on campus rejected him because he is gay. Our guests are: Samantha Master, senior and Communications major at MSU, where she served as the Community Service and Outreach Coordinator of Rainbow Soul, the gay straight alliance, from 2008-2010; and Sultan Shakir, Director of Youth and Campus Outreach at the Human Rights Campaign.
