Washington, medical ethicist and medical writer whose book Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present won the 2007 National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction, joins us to discuss the history of racial disparities in medicine.
