Lea Gilmore drops by for her monthly chat with Marc. Besides being a blues and soul singer who has toured throughout Europe, she is a dedicated human rights activist who serves on the board of the Maryland A.C.L.U. and is a program director for the Maryland Black Family Alliance. They are joined by Walt Michael who is the director of Common Ground on the Hill, a music and arts festival held at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. They discuss the recent passing of Dr. Ira Zepp, a McDaniel College professor and activist who influenced the lives of both of our guests today. In addition, Marc and Lea discuss the current health care reform debate in the second half of our show.
