June 29, 2016 – Segment 2
We turn to issues of sexuality, race, and the state of the LGBTQ community. We speak with Charles Berea, Chief Curator & Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Reginald F Lewis Museum, about the new Question Bridge video installation. The project is intended to be a catalyst for dialogue to help deconstruct stereotypes about black male identity in our collective consciousness.
And then we continue the conversation with: Michelle Antoinette AKA LOVE the Poet, indie spoken word artist, musician, and author of Black Marks on White Paper; Carlton Smith, Executive Director & Founder of The Center for Black Equity-Baltimore and President and Founder of Baltimore Black Pride; and Bryanna Jenkins, Executive Director of The Baltimore Trans Alliance.
