We turn to the controversy over the Keystone XL Pipeline. Last week the U.S. Department of State released the results of a study on the pipeline, stating that approval of the pipeline would not have a significant impact on climate change – because, whether or not the pipeline is approved, the oil will be extracted anyway. Environmental activists continue to organize against the pipeline.
Joining us for the debate are: Michael Whatley, Executive Vice President for the Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA), which has advocated for the Keystone XL Pipeline’s approval since 2008 and; Erich Pica, President of Friends of the Earth.
