December 14, 2010 – Hour 2

First this hour, we look at the economic state of affairs in the United States from a moral perspective.  What are our nation’s values and are they consistent with our financial system?  Our guest is Steve Isberg, Associate Professor of Finance at University of Baltimore.

Then, we turn to a recent decision in a Virginia federal court declaring the individual mandate in the health care reform bill unconstitutional.  We discuss the implications of this ruling with Vincent Demarco, President of the Maryland Health Care for All Coalition, and Sheldon Laskin, adjunct professor of State and Local Tax in the University of Baltimore Graduate Tax Program.
